2 c. apples, diced
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat sugar and eggs. Add flour, baking soda and cinnamon. Blend. Stir in apples. Pour into an 8 or 9 inch square pan.

TOPPING:

1 1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1 c. water
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 stick butter

Stir sugar and flour together in small pot. Add water, brown sugar and butter. Bring to a boil. Pour over hot batter. Bake in 350 degree oven for 40 minutes.
