AUNT LYDIA'S SOUR CREAM CUTOUT COOKIES | |
2 c. sugar 1 c. sour cream 2 to 3 eggs 1 c. butter 1 tsp. baking soda dissolved in water 1 tsp. vanilla or almond flavoring Pinch salt About 6 c. flour Mix all of the above and refrigerate dough for about an hour so rolling is easy. Roll out and cut into desired shapes. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. This is a wonderful recipe as the thicker you make them the nicer they are or if you like thin cut out cookies you can do either. So tasty!!!!!! Very easy for kids to roll and make themselves. Our family and others have had a great "together time" with this recipe! Decorate with frosting and whatever you want. |
