TOPPING FOR GERMAN CHOCOLATE CAKE | |
1 1/2 c. evaporated milk 1 1/2 c. sugar 4 egg yolks 2 sticks butter 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 3/4 c. flaked coconut 1 1/2 c. chopped pecans Combine milk, sugar, egg yolks, butter and vanilla in saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens, about 12 minutes. Remove from heat. Add coconut and pecans. Beat until cool. |
