SAUCE 
1/2 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1 c. blueberries
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. cognac
1/2 c. water
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. grated lemon peel (optional)

Combine sugar, water, salt and cornstarch. Cook, stirring frequently, until mixture boils and thickens. Add berries and heat to boiling. Simmer 5 minutes. Stir in lemon juices and cognac. Put in blender. Makes a great sauce for ice cream, blueberry cake, etc. Keeps well in the refrigerator.
