TEXAS SHEET CAKE 
4 c. sugar
4 c. flour
1 c. shortening
1/2 lb. butter
2 tsp. salt
1 c. cocoa
1 c. milk
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. baking soda

Cream butter, shortening, eggs and sugar together. Then add the rest of the ingredients. Bake for 20 minutes at 325 degrees. Don't over-bake. Test with a toothpick.

ICING:

1/2 lb. butter
2 tsp. vanilla
12 tbsp. milk
1/2 c. cocoa

Cook in pan and bring to a boil. Pour over cake. Sprinkle 2 cups of nuts over the top. Bake the day before serving.
