OUR FAMOUS PECAN PIE | |
1 c. white sugar 1 c. white Karo syrup 2 eggs 1 c. pecan meats, chopped 1/8 lb. butter (1/2 bar) 1/4 tsp. salt Use deep dish pie shell. Can make 1 1/2 times the recipe and make 2 shallow pies. Cream butter with sugar, add salt, well beaten eggs and syrup and nuts. Mix well. Pour into unbaked shell. Bake in middle of oven at 300 degrees for 1 hour. Even if it is soft in center. Take out, will stiffen later as it cools. Garnish with pecan halves. |
