1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 tsp. salt
3 eggs
1 1/2 c. peanut butter
3 c. flour
3 tsp. baking soda

Blend sugar, brown sugar, shortening and salt together until creamy. Add eggs. Beat well. Stir in peanut butter, blending well. Sift flour and soda together. Add to creamed mixture. Drop batter by spoonfuls onto foil-lined cookie sheet; flatten cookies with glass bottom dipped in additional sugar.

Bake at 425°F for 7 minutes or until lightly brown.

Yield: 100 cookies.
