PEA SOUP 
1 bag dry split peas
1 onion, cut sm.
2 carrots, sliced
Ham and bone
1 pkg. Horowitz dry peas and vegetables
2 stalks celery, cut sm.
4 or 5 potatoes, sliced

Put all ingredients (except potatoes) into pot. Add water to cover (using directions on Horowitz package as a guideline). Cook soup about 2 hours. Then add sliced potatoes. Cook about 15 minutes longer. Test potatoes with fork to make sure they're done. Salt and pepper to taste. Tastes great with croutons!
