BREAD PUDDING WITH RUM SAUCE 
6 slices day old bread
2 tbsp. plus 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
4 eggs
2 c. milk
2 tbsp. melted butter
1/2 c. seedless raisins
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Break bread in small pieces in baking dish (about 1 1/2 quart size). Sprinkle cinnamon over bread and add raisins and melt butter. Lightly toast bread mixture in 350 degree oven. Add mixture of eggs, sugar, milk and vanilla. Bake about 30 minutes at 350 degrees or until set. Serve with rum sauce. Serves 8.

RUM SAUCE:

2 c. milk
1/2 stick butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. nutmeg
1 tbsp. vanilla
Rum to taste
1 tbsp. oil
2 tbsp. flour

Place milk, butter and sugar in saucepan; let come to a boil. Thicken with roux make of the oil and flour. Remove from fire; add nutmeg, vanilla and rum to taste. Serve over pudding.
