MEXICAN WEDDING COOKIES 
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
6 tbsp. sugar
1 c. chopped walnuts
Powdered sugar

Cream shortening, butter and vanilla. Add salt, flour and sugar. Mix in walnuts last. Roll into small balls not larger than a walnut and bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Roll in powdered sugar while still warm and store for 24 hours before using.
