"CITY" ROMMEGROT 
Scald 1 quart milk. Melt 1 stick (1/4 pound) butter in heavy pan. Add 1 cup flour slowly (as for making cream sauce). Add a little of the milk at a time. Mix and beat until thick and smooth. Add 1 teaspoon salt and 5 tablespoons sugar. To serve sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon and a little melted butter.
