SWEET SOUR SPARE RIBS 
3 lb. spare ribs
2/3 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. corn starch
2 tsp. dry mustard
2/3 c. vinegar
1 flat can pineapple
1/2 c. catsup
1/2 c. water
1/4 c. onion, cut up
2 tbsp. soy sauce
Salt and pepper

Have ribs cut for serving. Spread ribs (meaty side up) in a single layer in a large shallow pan.

Brown in a 450 degree oven for 20 to 30 minutes. Drain off fat.

Combine all remaining ingredients (except salt and pepper) in a saucepan. Stir over medium heat until smooth and shiny. Sprinkle ribs with salt and pepper. Spoon half the sauce over ribs.

Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake for 45 minutes. Turn ribs. Cover with rest of sauce. Bake for 30 more minutes.
