PICKLED BEETS | |
1 gal. sliced beets, cooked and skinned 2 c. sugar 1 tbsp. allspice 3 1/2 c. vinegar 1 stick cinnamon 1 1/2 c. water 1 tsp. cloves Put all ingredients, except beets, in pan and boil 15 minutes. Add beets and boil 5 minutes longer. Then they can be canned. |
