BAKED BEANS 
1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. bacon, cooked and diced
1 lg. onion, chopped
1/2 c. ketchup
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. prepared mustard
4 tsp. vinegar (cider)
3/4 c. light brown sugar
30 oz. pork and beans
15 oz. chick peas (drained)
15 oz. kidney beans (drain)
(Optional) : 10 oz. lima beans, thawed in hot water

Brown onion and beef, then bacon. Drain fat and cool.

In large pot stir together ketchup, salt, vinegar and mustard. Add brown sugar. Stir in beans. Cook 40 minutes at 350 degrees, covered.

Like soups and stews, tastes better if cooked the day before.
