BEEF WITH PEPPERS AND ONIONS 
1 lb. beef round steak (cut 1" thick)
2 tsp. vegetable oil
1 c. onion slices
1 c. green bell peppers
1 c. red bell peppers
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. dried basil leaves
1/8 tsp. black pepper
1/2 tsp. salt

Heat oil in large non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat. Add onion, green and red peppers, 1 clove garlic and basil; stir-fry 7-8 minutes or until tender- crisp. Remove, keep warm. Rub remaining garlic and the black pepper over both sides of beef top round steak. Add steak to same pan; pan broil over medium- high heat to desired doneness, 15-20 minutes, turning once. Sprinkle salt over both sides of steak. Carve steak diagonally across the grain into thin slices; serve with vegetables. Makes 4 servings. 233 calories each.
