2 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. diced apples
1/4 c. water
1 c. Crisco oil
6 oz. pkg. chocolate or butterscotch bits

Mix dry ingredients, then add eggs, oil, vanilla, water, and apples. Put in greased and floured pan. Sprinkle bits on top. Preheat to 350 degrees. Bake 50 minutes or until done.
