COCOA-APPLE CAKE 
1 c. butter (softened)
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
2 1/2 c. all purpose flour
2 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. ground allspice
1/2 c. water
2 c. finely chopped apples
1 c. finely chopped pecans
1/2 c. semisweet chocolate morsels
1 tsp. vanilla extract
powdered sugar

Cream butter; gradually add sugar, beating well at medium speed with electric mixer. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each one. Combine flour, cocoa, soda, cinnamon and allspice; mix well. Add to creamed mixture alternately with water, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Mix just until blended after each addition. Stir in remaining ingredients except for powdered sugar, mixing just until blended. Bake in a greased and floured 10 inch bundt pan at 325 degrees for 60 to 65 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 to 15 minutes; remove from pan and cool completely on wire rack. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
