CHOCOLATE ANGEL CAKE ICE BOX DESSERT | |
Angel food cake 12 oz. chocolate chips 1 c. chopped walnuts 4 eggs, separated 1 pt. whipping cream 2 tbsp. sugar Melt chocolate chips in double boiler. Add 2 tablespoons sugar and 4 beaten egg yolks. Let cool. Beat 4 egg whites stiff and add to chocolate mixture. Fold in 1 pint whipping cream, whipped, and 1 cup chopped nuts. Crumb (chunk) 1 loaf angel food (I use whole size cake). Place layer of angel food in 9 x 13 pan then layer of chocolate mixture. Repeat. Place in refrigerator overnight. Serve with whipped cream. |
