TEA CAKES 
1/2 c. butter
1 1/4 c. brown sugar
1 1/4 c. white sugar
4 eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. lemon extract
1 qt. flour
2 pinches of salt (about 1/2 tsp.)
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. milk

Beat butter well, beat in both sugars. Add eggs and beat well. Combine flour, baking powder and salt and add gradually to creamed mixture along with milk and vanilla. Dough will be stiff, so it is necessary to stir in the last of the flour by hand to combine it well. Sprinkle a little flour, sugar, and cinnamon on board, roll dough in it and cut with cookie cutters. Bake at 375 degrees until lightly browned. Cool on rack.
