HOMESPUN SAUSAGE BAKE | |
1 lb. ground pork sausage 1 c. chopped onion 1 c. sliced celery 2 cans (8 oz.) tomato sauce 1/4 tsp. oregano and 1/4 tsp. salt 1 lg. can (1 lb. 13 oz.) yellow hominy, drained 2 c. shredded Jack cheese (about 1/2 lb.) Brown sausage, onion and celery in skillet; pour off fat. Add tomato sauce, herbs and salt. Simmer 5 minutes. In 2 quart casserole or shallow baking dish, layer half the hominy, half the sausage, and half the cheese. Repeat layers. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. |
