AUNT WILMA'S SOUP | |
1 lb. ground beef 5 c. water 16 oz. canned whole tomatoes, cut up 1 c. chopped onion 1 c. chopped celery 1 c. chopped carrots 1/3 c. pearl barley Salt and pepper 1/4 c. ketchup 1 tbsp. beef bouillon (3 cubes) 2 tsp. seasoned salt 1 tsp. crushed dried basil 1 bay leaf Dash garlic powder Brown ground beef, rinse and drain. Combine all ingredients and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer one hour (the longer the better). Remove bay leaf before serving. Add water to thin if desired. |
