BREAKFAST CASSEROLE 
12 slices bread
6 eggs
4 c. milk
1 lb. Cheddar cheese (or 1/2 Cheddar & 1/2 Monterey Jack)
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. salt
2 c. diced ham or 1 lb. sausage, cooked

Butter bread on both sides. Place 1 layer (6 slices) in buttered 9 x 13 inch pan. Cover with 1/2 of grated cheese and 1/2 of cooked meat. Add another layer of bread. Then, add remaining meat and cheese. Beat eggs well and add milk, salt and pepper. Pour over bread, cheese and meat mixture. Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes uncovered.
