WESTERN CHEF'S SALAD | |
1 onion 2 tomatoes 1 head lettuce 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese 1 c. French or Thousand Island dressing 1 lg. avocado, if desired 1 (6 oz.) bag toasted corn tortilla chips Hot sauce to taste 1 lb. ground beef 1 (15 oz.) can kidney beans Chop onion, tomatoes and lettuce. Toss with cheese, dressing and hot sauce. Peel, slice and add one avocado. Crumble and add tortilla chips. Brown ground beef, drain. Add kidney beans, drained with 1/4 teaspoon salt. Heat. Mix into cold salad. Decorate with extra chips, avocado and tomato. Serves 6. |
