APPLESAUCE CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
2 c. applesauce, warmed
2 c. sugar
3 c. flour
2 c. pecans
2 c. raisins
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. cloves
2 tsp. baking soda, dissolved in warm applesauce
4 eggs
Pinch of salt

Cream butter and sugar, add eggs. Sift ingredients with spices. Add alternately with warm applesauce and soda. Add nuts and raisins. Cook in greased and floured loaf pan or one Bundt pan plus 1 small loaf pan. Cook for 1 hour and 45 minutes at 250 degrees.
