MEXICAN CORNBREAD 
2 c. cornmeal mix
1/2 c. oil
3 eggs
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 c. jalapeno peppers, chopped or less
1 lg. onion, minced
1 can cream style corn
2 1/2 c. milk
1/2 jar pimentos, chopped
4 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
1-3 tbsp. sugar

Mix and bake in 9x13 greased pan at 425 degrees for about 45 minutes. This is good served with blackeyed peas and cooked cabbage on New Year's Day.
