PEANUT PATTIES 
2 1/2 c. sugar
2/3 c. white syrup
1 c. canned milk
2 c. raw peanuts
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. butter
Few drops red food coloring

Cook all ingredients to soft ball stage (240 degrees). Remove from heat and add vanilla, butter and food coloring (to make pretty pink). Beat to spreading consistency and drop onto waxed paper or buttered pan or buttered muffin tins to make uniform pretty patties.
