HUNGARIAN COFFEE CAKE | |
1 c. sugar 1/2 c. brown sugar 2 1/2 c. flour 1/2 c. butter 1 tsp. baking powder 1 egg 1 tsp. baking soda 1 c. buttermilk or sour milk 1/2 c. shortening Mix dry ingredients. Cut in shortening as for pie crust. Keep 3/4 cup crumbs for topping. Add rest of ingredients. Pour into two 8 inch pie pans. Put on topping. Add a little sugar, cinnamon, butter and flour together and spread on top. You may also add chopped pecans to the topping if you like. Bake for 30 minutes at 375 degrees. |
