CHOCOLATE CREAM FROSTING | |
2 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate 2 tbsp. butter 1 c. sifted confectioners sugar 1/4 tsp. salt 1 egg 1 c. cream for whipping 1 tsp. vanilla Melt chocolate and butter in top of 2 quart double boiler over hot - not boiling water; stir in remaining ingredients. Place top of double boiler in ice water; beat with rotary beater 3-4 minutes or until frosting is fluffy. Makes enough to frost top and sides of one 9 inch layer cake. |
