HARDEE'S BISCUITS 
5 cups self-rising flour
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. sugar
1 cup Crisco (or other shortening)
2 1/2 tsp. (or 1/4 oz.) active dry yeast
1/4 cup warm water
2 cups buttermilk
4 tbsp. (1/2 stick) butter, melted

Mix flour, baking soda, and sugar together; cut in Crisco (or use food processor).

Dissolve yeast in warm water; add to buttermilk. Add to flour mixture. Knead on floured surface. Cut into circles with cookie cutter or equivalent.

Bake at 400°F for 15 to 20 minutes; immediately brush melted butter to tops of biscuits when they are done.

Hey Mark, I made your recipe for Hardee's biscuits and they were AMAZING! I used lard instead of Crisco, but that was the only change I needed to make. They came out perfect and crispy on top!
