MAPLE TWIST ROLLS
DOUGH:

3/4 c. milk
1/4 c. butter
2 3/4 to 3 c. flour
3 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 pkg. active dry yeast
1 tsp. maple flavoring
1 egg

FLAVORING:

1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. nuts, chopped
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. maple flavoring
1/4 c. butter, melted

ICING:

1 c. powdered sugar
2 tbsp. butter, melted
1 to 2 tbsp. milk
1/2 tsp. maple flavoring

Mix dough like bread and let rise until light, about an hour. Divide dough into 3 balls. Grease a 12-inch pizza pan. Mix together flavoring ingredients, except butter. Roll each ball into a circle to cover bottom of pizza pan. Brush dough with about 1/3 of the 1/4 cup melted butter and sprinkle with half of the flavoring mixture. Top with another layer of dough, butter and nut mixture. Top with layer of dough. Place a small glass in center and with scissors cut from the outside edge to the glass, forming 16 pie shaped wedges. Twist each 5 times. Remove glass. Cover. Let rise until double in size, about 45 minutes. Bake at 375 degrees for 18 to 20 minutes until golden brown. Top with icing.
