CHICKEN STRATA (Casserole) 
6 to 8 slices bread
3 c. cooked, chopped chicken
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. chopped celery
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
1/2 c. mayonnaise
salt and pepper
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. milk
1 can cream of mushroom soup
buttered bread crumbs
shredded cheese

Cut bread into 1-inch cubes. Place half in bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan. Mix chicken, onion, celery, pepper, mayonnaise, salt and pepper. Spoon over bread crumbs. Sprinkle remaining half of bread cubes on top. Combine eggs and milk. Pour over the top. Cover and chill overnight. Before baking, spoon soup over top and sprinkle with buttered bread crumbs.

Bake at 350°F for 40 minutes. Sprinkle cheese over top last few minutes of baking.
