GRANNY BERT'S LEMON CHEESE CAKE 
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 c. milk
3 c. cake flour
2 tsp. baking powder

1/2 c. butter
6 egg yolks
Juice of 3 lemons
1 1/2 c. sugar
Grated rind of 3 lemons

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Cream butter and sugar thoroughly. Add 1 egg at a time. Sift flour and baking powder together twice adding alternately with milk to the creamed mixture. Bake in 6 greased and floured 8 inch layer cake pans until cake tests done. Combine all the filling ingredients in top of double boiler and cook over hot water stirring constantly until thick. Cool, then spread between layers and on top of cake.
