MICROWAVE SALISBURY STEAKS 
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 (10 3/4 oz.) can beef consomme
1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp. basil
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
1 med. onion, chopped
1 egg
1 tsp. seasoned salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

Mix together cornstarch and consomme. Stir in mushrooms, Worcestershire sauce and basil; set aside. Mix together beef, bread crumbs, onion, egg, salt and pepper. Shape into 6 patties. Place in a baking dish; cover with wax paper. Microwave on high for 6 minutes; drain off excess fat. Turn and re-arrange patties. Pour sauce over steaks; cover. Microwave on high for 10 to 12 minutes or until no longer pink. Allow to stand 5 minutes before serving.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
