LOVEFEAST BUNS 
1 lg. potato, cubed
1/2 c. potato water
1 pkg. yeast
1/4 c. warm water
1/2 c. butter, melted
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs, well beaten
4 c. sifted flour
Dash of mace
Grated rind of 1/2 orange

Boil potato until tender. Drain and reserve 1/2 cup potato water. Mash potato until smooth and measure 1/2 cup. Sprinkle yeast over warm water to dissolve.

Combine 1/2 cup mashed potato and 1/2 cup potato water, butter, sugar, salt and eggs. Mix well. When mixture is lukewarm, stir in yeast. Cover bowl and set in a warm place until the mixture is spongy looking. Then mix in flour, mace and orange rind; make a soft dough. Cover and let rise until doubled.
