CHEESE WAFERS 
1/2 lb. sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 lb. butter, softened
2 1/2 c. all purpose flour
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt

Grate cheese very fine. Sift flour, sugar and salt. Cream cheese and butter. Add dry ingredients. Freeze for a few minutes until firm and easy to handle. Roll into logs and freeze again until firm. Slice logs into wafers and place on "lightly" greased sheet. Bake in hot oven at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes or until "lightly" brown. Makes approximately 8 dozen.
