BRAN MUFFINS | |
3 c. sugar 5 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 2 c. Nabisco 100% bran 4 c. Kellogg's All Bran 1 c. shortening 5 c. flour 1 qt. buttermilk 4 eggs 2 c. boiling water Raisins, chips, apples, or anything desirable Pour boiling water over Nabisco Bran and let stand. Cream shortening and sugar, add eggs, buttermilk and Kellogg's Bran. Let stand. Measure flour, salt and soda. Add to creamed mixture. Beat just long enough to mix. Fold in Nabisco Bran and fruits, if wanted. I don't usually use any. Refrigerate in plastic container. Bake in muffin tin. Dough keeps 6 months in refrigerator. |
