TRANSPARENT SALAD DRESSING 
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. mustard
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/3 c. vinegar
2/3 c. water
1 tbsp. minced onion

Mix all ingredients in a saucepan and stir over heat until mixture boils. Continue to stir 1 to 2 minutes longer. Chill before using. Makes 1 cup. This is good with tomato salad and mixed vegetable salads. Calories: 1 tablespoon = 15 calories. Fat Controlled Diet: 1 tablespoon = negligible fat. Diabetic and Calorie Controlled Diet: 1 tablespoon = free choice. Sodium controlled diet: prepared and directed, omitting salt, 1 tablespoon = negligible sodium.
