HARVARD BEETS | |
1/2 c. sugar 1 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. cornstarch 1/4 c. vinegar 1/4 c. water 3 c. red beets, cooked or canned, sliced 2 tbsp. butter Mix together dry ingredients. Add vinegar aand water nd stir until smooth. Cook five minutes. Add beets and let stand 30 minutes. Before serving heat to boiling point and add butter. |
