COCKTAIL MEATBALLS | |
3/4 lb. ground beef 3/4 c. fine dry bread crumbs 1 1/2 tbsp. minced onion 1/2 tsp. horseradish 3 drops Tabasco sauce 2 eggs, beaten 3/4 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1 tbsp. butter SAUCE: 3/4 c. ketchup 1/4 c. cider vinegar 1 tbsp. minced onion 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/2 c. water 2 tbsp. brown sugar 2 tsp. Worcestershire 1 tsp. dry mustard 3 drops Tabasco sauce Combine meat ingredients (first 8), and shape into meatballs. Brown in the butter. (I cook these under the broiler.) While meatballs are cooking, prepare sauce. Combine all ingredients in saucepan and heat thoroughly. Add a dash of cayenne pepper. Pour sauce over meatballs and serve. |
