BUTTER COOKIES - CRISP 
1 c. butter
1 c. oil
1 c. white sugar
1 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. butter flavoring
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. salt
4 c. flour

Mix in order given. Chill dough. Shape in balls, roll in sugar, flatten with fork and bake just until edges are lightly browned.
