1 c. shortening
2 c. brown sugar
3 eggs
1/2 c. milk
3 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, beat well. Sift dry ingredients with flour and stir in with milk. Drop from spoon on cookie sheet. Bake until a medium brown (350 degrees).
