HAMBURGER STEW 
1 1/2 lbs. hamburger
1/2 c. chopped onion

Brown. Add: 2 c. carrots, diced 1/2 c. celery, diced 2 c. shredded cabbage 1 lg. can stewed tomatoes (or 2 sm.)

Bring to boil. 1 small bay leaf 1/2 tsp. thyme 1 basil leaf 4 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1 1/2 qts. of water

Cook on low heat for 1 hour.
