1 c. soft shortening
2 eggs
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
3 tbsp. sugar
3 tsp. cinnamon

Cream shortening, sugar and eggs. Sift and stir in flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Chill dough for 2 hours. Roll into small balls and drop in mixture of sugar and cinnamon. Place balls on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 400 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
