CRESCENT COOKIES 
1/2 lb. butter
2 c. flour
2 c. ground nuts
5 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. water
1/2 tsp. salt
Powdered sugar or chocolate and sprinkles

Cream butter and sugar together, add vanilla, water. Sift flour, salt together and blend into mixture. Add ground nuts and mix thoroughly. Using portions about the size of a walnut, roll into crescent shaped cookies. Bake in slow oven at 325 degrees for 20 minutes. While warm roll in powdered sugar or dip into chocolate, then decorate with sprinkles or ground nuts.

Melt chocolate morsels in double boiler (1/2 package Nestle's morsels). Dip cookie in mixture and let harden on wax paper.
