TOMATO TOAST 
2 1/2 tbsp. butter
2 1/2 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2-2 c. cooked tomatoes
1/8 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. scalded cream or milk

Melt butter and flour; stir until bubbly. Add salt, gradually add tomatoes to which soda has been added. Add scalded cream or milk, just before serving. Pour over freshly toasted bread, grated cheese may be added if desired.
