CHOCOLATE ALMOND SQUARES 
3/4 c. slivered almonds
1 pkg. fluffy white frosting mix (for 2-layer cake)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 c. graham cracker crumbs
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream
Chocolate ice cream topping

In a shallow baking pan, toast almonds in a 350 degree oven for 8 to 10 minutes until lightly toasted. Cool.

In a large mixer bowl, prepare frosting mix according to directions; stir in vanilla. Fold in almonds, cracker crumbs and chocolate pieces. Spread in a greased 9 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes or until light brown. Cool completely. Cut into squares. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream drizzled with chocolate topping. Makes 9 servings.
