RHUBARB APPLESAUCE | |
1 lb. rhubarb, fresh or frozen 2 lbs. tart cooking apples (Granny Smith) 1 c. sugar 1/8 tsp. nutmeg Trim and cut rhubarb into chunks. Peel and core apples and cut into chunks. Combine rhubarb and apples with sugar in a large pot. Simmer over medium low heat until fruit is soft, 20 to 25 minutes. Stir in nutmeg. Serve warm or cold. |
