1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. Spry
2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla or almond extract
3 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs, unbeaten
3/4 c. milk

Put flour, sugar, baking powder and shortening together and cut like pastry. Leave 3/4 cup of this aside and put on top of cake. Add eggs, milk and other ingredients and bake 1/2 hour or until done (350 degrees). I use a tube pan but it can be made in an 8x8 square pan.
