POTATO SOUP 
5 strips bacon
1/3 c. butter (about 5 tbsp.)
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
4 c. whole milk
1 tbsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
6 medium potatoes
1 medium onion
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp. paprika
parsley or chives, for garnish

In large saucepan, sauté bacon in butter 3 minutes. Stir in flour and cook for 2 minutes. Whisk in milk, salt and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.

In another saucepan, cook potatoes and onion in just enough water to cover. When vegetables are tender, transfer them with water to milk mixture. Add Worcestershire sauce, paprika and additional milk (if soup is too thick). Simmer for 5 minutes.

Serve garnished with fresh parsley or chives.
