1 c. butter 1 c. white sugar 1 c. brown sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 1 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp. cream of tartar 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 3 c. old fashioned or quick oatmeal, uncooked 1 c. nuts Cream butter and sugar, add eggs and vanilla, blend. Combine flour and spices, add to creamed mixture, mixing well. Stir in oatmeal and nuts. Shape dough in a roll 2 1/2 inches in diameter, wrap in foil and put in freezer 2 hours. Slice into 1/4 inch pieces and bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. |
